Check out Pike Place Market downtown, funky Fremont (our neighborhood!), the International District for some great dim sum, the Space Needle, and more. You can do it all by bus!
Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia
You can take a ferry from Port Angeles, WA, to Victoria, BC. Victoria is a quaint, charming city home to the famous Empress hotel (in photo) and many bed & breakfast inns. You can take another short ferry over to cosmopolitan Vancouver, BC, which has some great restaurants, nightlife, and beautiful Stanley Park. Then you can drive the 3 hours back to Seattle.
Olympic National Park & San Juan Islands
For a more rugged trip, try hiking in the Olympic National Park rain forest or taking a ferry to one of the many islands near Port Townsend. You can hike and camp, stay in the comfy inns like the nearby Lake Crescent Lodge or Lake Quinalt Lodge, sit in the hot springs of Doe Bay on Orcas Island, rent kayaks, or more.
