Since graduating from Reed College in 1995, Cassy has body-surfed the technology wave. At first, she worked in startups from New York City to Portland, Oregon, developing web sites for non-profits like the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society of America and Room To Grow charity.

In recent years, Cassy has focused her work on technology at learning institutions. She worked on a K-12 educational portal, and served as Web Developer for three higher ed institutions. At Chemeketa Community College, she worked on online education. At Seattle University she focussed on Instructional Design and on Web Services, helping to shape the University's web strategy and to develop the University's first student portal. At University of Washington, she worked with the Catalyst Research & Development group, which develops educational software, served as Website Project Manager for the Center for Instructional Design and Research, and now works as Web Services Manager for UW's Burke Museum.

When not working, Cassy plays bridge and hangs out with the jarvis pack. She has also rowed crew, volunteered at the zoo, and traveled to African, Asian, and Central American countries.
